Congratulations! I know you’ve been working toward this for a long time. When we moved into our rental house in Panama, the feeling of lightness I had was indescribable. I wasn’t coming from a power position, like you are — we were escaping the US at the height of the recession that started in 2008 and it was a move of economic desperation — but there’s something about getting rid of all that STUFF that’s just incredible. It was the start of a wonderful adventure, and I expect yours will be even better.
Hooray and congratulations! That's a super exciting step and I can't wait to hear more of your journey together. It is a real revelation when you start to believe you can design your next steps... that you're the author of your story, as you say. It took me a long time to "get it" but once you see it, it cannot be unseen 😁
Congratulations!! Love the move and Baja Sur sounds refreshing to say the least. Congrats on feeling the layers peel away and stepping fully into your next phase.
How will I approach life as an author? For me, my career is in reverse — I did tons of adventurous travels and have lived out an awesome life as an international environmental and human rights fundraiser. But I’m GenX and my 401k is sorely lacking.
Rather than a metamorphosis away from the confines of societal norms my revelation is the great unretirement and how to keep building out your freelance and location-independent career in more profitable ways. By doing the things that interest you and tapping into your natural tribe(s).
I’ve been super happy to learn from you via AWAI and now Further. And thanks for the access to financial planning software!
Congrats on the move! I was hoping to meet you in person sometime soon. Denver to Baja Sur is a bit further than Denver to Boulder, but it would be far more interesting! I'll look forward to hearing how it goes!

Where are you at right now Susanna?
Unfortunately, at home in Florida. Don't know for how much longer. . . Panama beckons.
Happy for you! 🙌
In the process of winding down my career and making the transition to living in China. I have a Chinese wife who I adore

Congratulations on your move! Hoping to do the same very soon. For now, we’re spending 3 months in France to test the waters.
My wife is excited about living at the beach for a while, but she wants to get back to France very soon. Like Q2 next year.
See you there 😊

I'm back in Boulder for 3 weeks before we go for good. Kinda hectic but let me know if you're in town.
Must be nice to have the option to just hop on a plane and go to Baja for the rest of the year!!!! Can’t relate!!!
All you need is a location-independent income. That's what we talk about in Further if you're interested.
