You are so right about the toxicity in the States. The road rage and anger are awful. Being in France for nearly 3 months has lowered my anxiety & blood pressure.

Brian, every time I go to Panama I can feel the stress leaving my body. And it's not just perception, it's measurable. My blood pressure goes down, my blood sugar goes down. . . It's real.

I very much resonate with “Over the last 20 years, I’ve always felt instantly better when I left the States. And not just because I was on “vacation.” - because I feel the same way. Recently visited Southern Spain, low key regions by the sea, with few tourists. Felt reborn. However, I sometimes feel this guilty of why do I even feel and think that way, or wanting to live outside of the US. My main reason is that I hate this constant rush and competition I have in Chicago. Definitely it’s not the place for my personality. Unfortunately, don’t have a choice to leave yet because of the family.
