Apart from some of this being the last 15 years of my life, this resonated. I’m 67 and haven’t yet managed to do all I wanted to do. But running a “later life” (still can’t find a good term for that) is on the list.

I’ve understood the idea of movements in theory, but this made me realize I hadn’t been seeing my own story that way.

After a breast cancer diagnosis, I chose a very different path than the standard treatment model and began focusing on nutrition, metabolic support, movement, and root-cause health. I started writing about the experience in my newsletter, Healing Choices, mostly as a way to share what I was learning.

Reading this made me recognize that what I’m doing actually sits within a larger movement, the functional medicine and root-cause health movement you mentioned. I didn’t start it, but I’m clearly participating in it.

Thank you for articulating this so clearly.
